Title: Greek army Heavy tractor Oshkosh
Post by: Raw_Shooter on 28-11-2008, 23:38:18
 Hello my friends  :)
for a long time I was trying to find this Hobby Fan's kit to make it like greek's army....Last September I found it and I wanted to prepare it for Pegaso's Show Model....

(http://i238.photobucket.com/albums/ff283/panafan/th_OshkoshM-911101.jpg) (http://s238.photobucket.com/albums/ff283/panafan/?action=view&current=OshkoshM-911101.jpg) (http://i238.photobucket.com/albums/ff283/panafan/th_OshkoshM-911100.jpg) (http://s238.photobucket.com/albums/ff283/panafan/?action=view&current=OshkoshM-911100.jpg) (http://i238.photobucket.com/albums/ff283/panafan/th_OshkoshM-911103.jpg) (http://s238.photobucket.com/albums/ff283/panafan/?action=view&current=OshkoshM-911103.jpg)
After I have primed it with Hycote I made a preshading by gloss black and then I used XF-65 Field Grey for basic color; Next I mixed XF-65 with UA 213 Grigio verde chiaro for the panels' center area...
(http://i238.photobucket.com/albums/ff283/panafan/th_M-9111006.jpg) (http://s238.photobucket.com/albums/ff283/panafan/?action=view&current=M-9111006.jpg) (http://i238.photobucket.com/albums/ff283/panafan/th_M-9111009.jpg) (http://s238.photobucket.com/albums/ff283/panafan/?action=view&current=M-9111009.jpg) (http://i238.photobucket.com/albums/ff283/panafan/th_M-9111008.jpg) (http://s238.photobucket.com/albums/ff283/panafan/?action=view&current=M-9111008.jpg)
Next step was dusting all low parts with XF-57 Buff and a wash by Raw Umber; Finally a hand of MIG filter Ochre for Grey Sand to weathering all the panels  ;)
(http://i238.photobucket.com/albums/ff283/panafan/th_M-91111.jpg) (http://s238.photobucket.com/albums/ff283/panafan/?action=view&current=M-91111.jpg) (http://i238.photobucket.com/albums/ff283/panafan/th_M-91112.jpg) (http://s238.photobucket.com/albums/ff283/panafan/?action=view&current=M-91112.jpg) (http://i238.photobucket.com/albums/ff283/panafan/th_M-91113.jpg) (http://s238.photobucket.com/albums/ff283/panafan/?action=view&current=M-91113.jpg)
After 3-4 days I use my airbrush to spray a very thin mix of XF-65 + just few drops of Olive Drub all the vehicle and when everything was dry I use a mini sponge (women use them for make-up) with Tamiya's cassette "B" Shoot color to reproduce the oil + dust dirts
(http://i238.photobucket.com/albums/ff283/panafan/th_Oshkosh101.jpg) (http://s238.photobucket.com/albums/ff283/panafan/?action=view&current=Oshkosh101.jpg) (http://i238.photobucket.com/albums/ff283/panafan/th_Oshkosh100.jpg) (http://s238.photobucket.com/albums/ff283/panafan/?action=view&current=Oshkosh100.jpg) (http://i238.photobucket.com/albums/ff283/panafan/th_Oshkosh103.jpg) (http://s238.photobucket.com/albums/ff283/panafan/?action=view&current=Oshkosh103.jpg) (http://i238.photobucket.com/albums/ff283/panafan/th_Oshkosh105.jpg) (http://s238.photobucket.com/albums/ff283/panafan/?action=view&current=Oshkosh105.jpg)
After all these I started gluing all the rest of accessories....
(http://i238.photobucket.com/albums/ff283/panafan/th_Oshkosh106.jpg) (http://s238.photobucket.com/albums/ff283/panafan/?action=view&current=Oshkosh106.jpg) (http://i238.photobucket.com/albums/ff283/panafan/th_Oshkosh1001.jpg) (http://s238.photobucket.com/albums/ff283/panafan/?action=view&current=Oshkosh1001.jpg) (http://i238.photobucket.com/albums/ff283/panafan/th_Oshkosh1000.jpg) (http://s238.photobucket.com/albums/ff283/panafan/?action=view&current=Oshkosh1000.jpg)

all the tractors they have a "horse shoe" where engage the trailers; There the drivers put a lot of lubricate pasta
(http://i238.photobucket.com/albums/ff283/panafan/th_Oshkosh1004.jpg) (http://s238.photobucket.com/albums/ff283/panafan/?action=view&current=Oshkosh1004.jpg)

;D ;D ;D ;D No the U-boat can't be submerged it's too heavy so if I put into the water it'll be submerged for only 1 time an it's over  >:D >:D ;D ;D   "Onassis junior"  ;D ;D ;D no my friend I collect model kits since I was 9 years old and now I have about 3500 boxes...as you understand now I am looking for "special" items like the new Italeri's S-boat (if you want I can prepare you a mini preview of all these kits  ;) )

This situation of yours is not so strange to me. Our club president "draki" has a similar number of models in his colection.
But all of them are 1/72 scale. He also looks for some "special" items.

Good idea. Please prepare a mini preview. Sometimes when I purchase some expensive model I have filing that I am crazy. Than I usualy visit my friend "draki", I take a look on his vast colection and then I am OK. When you post a picturs of yours colection I will feal eaven better. ;D

Our forum is very much alike Greek forum http://www.modelclub.gr/
I know because I have my profile there...
You can post in "universal" modeler theme. ( first link from the top)
I can translate for you which link is for what, if you want.
I (We) are coming to Thessaloniki next year on the next model show. 8)
Maybe someone will come during summer on summer holiday in Greece.
