Hello my friends and MERRY CHRISTMAS ;) ;) ;)
this is one of my latest projects which I finished just the last week (the last details). It's a conversion kit by Azimut Models having as "base" the Alan's Panzer II Ausf. C. Swimm Panzer II was a project which had been realized during 1940 - '41 for the "Operation Sea Lion" = German invasion in England. Hitler didn't want an "open" war because he was fearing the Royal Navy with the super ships. He preferred a secret invasion for the first hours and then a massive bombardment by Luftwaffe. Swimmer Panzer II like the others Swimm Panzers + L.W.S. should be lanced by small boats just few miles from the British beaches and they would approach slowly. Finally after the fall of Battle for England where the 70% of Luftwaffe had been destroyed the "Operation Sea Lion" was never been even started.
So here is Azimut's conversion made by resin

the big problem is that due the bad conditions of the resin the Alan's Pz II can't fit exactly in the right place....so you must sand it for hours :( :(
First I made the Panzer because it's impossible to paint it if you glue it in it's place first, specially the lower parts.....

finally when I finished the Pz I glued it and started painting.....First I made a preshadding by Gloss Black and then I sprayed 2 "hands" of Panzer Grey. Last I made a light pin wash by Raw Umber & a little drybrush by light sea grey
