Kubelwagen 1/9 Revell

 Good morning (Dobreden ??) my friends     This is one of my latest projects....my favorite scale is 1/35 but last year I win during a model contest this kit in scale 1/9 and I love it at the first sight    So I bought few mores from then (like the Triumph).
I started last year trying to made it as real I could thanks to some original photos of Kubels. The kit is full functional like lights and engine (12 V). I ask sorry for the number of the photos but I try to upload as few I can (for sites memory capacity)...

The signs of Lehr Panzer Division and Light Recognize tactical mark are made with home made masks and sprayed white mat color

The seats are made with bed foam (for interior) and original leather (washed with chlorine) like cover shewn by me



the cabrio cover tent is made by a piece of white blue-jeans painted by water colors and washed with the airbush

the original Kubel has a wood floor over that metal (for the rain water) so I made it with balsa's pieces (washed with Raw Umber + Chocolate Brown)

and the final touches like washings + pin washes + dusting with MIG pigments

I have just one question? Why are headlight covers in other color than the rest of Kubel?

"3EMYH" the headlight covers weren't painted during the photograph because I change the leds (they were too "white"). Few hours before the Model Show I paint them like the other vehicle

OK. I just wanted to tell you to don't forget to fix that before competition.
It would be a shame not to win some prize because of that.
